Fonts and Typography
There are a lot of fonts out there!
The most common formats are PostScript, TrueType and OTF (OpenType face). This may require a bit of research on your part, as each font format has its own advantages. For example, PostScript Type 1 fonts require a Screen and Printer font for output. These are also known as a PS pair. This is an industry standard font format and is widely used. True Type fonts, widely accepted in the Windows community, requires just one file for both viewing and printing. However, this particular format can cause issues with PostScript output devices. OTF fonts are quickly becoming the new industry standard with its cross-platform portability.
